    Dr. David Hendricks has been practicing medicine for over 24 years. He is board certified in both Addiction Medicine as well as Emergency Medicine, and he has extensive experience as a medical director for both detox and residential facilities as well as emergency departments.

    He believes in a holistic and integrative approach to addiction: with the understanding that addiction is a chronic disease, he feels the best treatment comprises medication management as well as talk and integrative therapies. He also believes in helping families to understand addiction is a large component to maintaining sobriety in his patients. He practices both medication assisted treatment as well as abstinence, believing that the best treatment is one that helps the client on their path to recovery.

    Director of Clinical Affairs

    Amy holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Education from Western Ct State University (2008) and is a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor through CT Department of Public Health. With specialty certifications in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC), she brings decades of experience in the field of addictions and co-occurring disorders. Her background spans all levels of care, including detox, residential, outpatient, and in-home family services providing both clinical and leadership support.

    As a contracted provider for first responders and medical professionals, Amy offers crucial support and treatment interventions. She has been on the Board of Directors for the Certification Board for the past six years, she is also a dynamic trainer and leader in the industry.

    At Pathfinder Recovery, Amy supports treatment teams and aids patients in building intrinsic motivation in their earliest stages of recovery. Ensuring quality care and optimal outcomes for patients and their families is her primary goal.

    Director of Operations

    Sarah is the co-founder and owner of Pathfinder Recovery.  She brings an eclectic background to Pathfinder. Starting a career as a mechanical engineer with a specialty in thermodynamics she worked in the shipping industry and sailed all over the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea.  She eventually landed in Panama working on the canal.  Upon moving back to the States she gained managerial experience working at Marinas in Connecticut.  Deciding that her calling was in the medical field she became a technician in an Emergency Department.  She quickly saw the epidemic that addiction was causing.  She gained experience dealing with patients in acute intoxication as well as in the detoxification process.  She brings all of this experience to Pathfinder as the Director of Operations.
